The Xiaomi Mi 6X is supposed to launch on April 25 at an event to be held in China. While we don’t have anything officially announced yet, rumors have been floating around as usual. The Xiaomi Mi 6X will supposedly have a vertical dual camera set up of the rear and an 18:9 display on the front. So to say, the Mi 6X might look a lot like the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The device is likely to be rebranded as the Mi A2 in India. Previously, the Redmi 5X was rebranded as Mi A1 in India as an Android One device. The company leaked some selfie shots that were apparently taken from the Mi 6X. However, that wasn’t the only leak from the device. We now have our hands on the Xiaomi Mi 6X Stock Wallpapers as well.
The rumored device is rumored to launch in five different colors: Cherry Pink, Flame Red, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue, and Black. If true, this will be the first XIaomi device to arrive in as many color options. The cameras on the back are expected to be both 20MP sensors along with a single flash. Some rumors also suggest the presence of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX486 sensor along with a 20MP primary sensor in the dual camera module. Both these sensors are supposed to feature a f/1.8 aperture. The selfie shooter on the front is also said to sport a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor. This sensor will have a f/2.2 aperture and front-facing flash. Keeping in line with current industry trends, the camera is also said to boast of AI enabled features for enhanced photos.
Just like the Redmi Note 5 Pro, the Mi 6X should have a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) 18:9 display. Rumored specs also include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and 32GB/ 64GB/ 128GB of inbuilt storage. Some reports also suggest a Snapdragon 626 SoC instead while others speculate it to run Helio P60. As per a TENAA listing, dimensions of the smartphone are expected to be 158.88×75.54×7.3mm.

Considering Android Ore has been out for quite some time, and the hype Xiaomi is generating for the launch, it is safe to say the Mi 6X should launch with Android Oreo out of the box. It will run MIUI 9 on top of Android while the Mi A2 will run stock Android, being an Android One device. Both variants are expected to feature a rather meager 2910mAh battery. If true this may not reflect well on the overall battery life. However, it would be quite foolish to predict the kind of battery life one might get based on a rumored spec. Many devices have managed to pull out decent, if not great battery life out of smaller batteries before. It is ultimately a blend of the software and hardware that decides most things about a smartphone.
