Download Android Oreo Factory Images for Nexus & Pixel Devices

Android Oreo, the much hyped and widely anticipated latest version of the world’s most popular mobile OS is out in the wild now. Google Officially announced and launched Android Oreo at a launch event on August 21st, following the Solar Eclipse.

Following the release of the Final Developer Preview 4, the stable version of Android Oreo is now available for the devices that are currently signed up for the beta program. The devices that are getting the Android Oreo update right now include, the Google Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, 6P and the tablets Nexus Player and Pixel C.

As of now, the factory images for Android Oreo is only available for the above-mentioned devices and it might take at least a few more weeks before it is released for other millions of Android devices out there.


If you own a Google Nexus or a Pixel device, then you are one among the lucky few who get to install Android Oreo on their phone right away. You can download the factory image files from the download links below and can install them on your device, provided you have an unlocked bootloader.

If you don’t have the bootloader unlocked you can either wait for the official OTA update to arrive for your device, this way you can install the update without wiping your data.

But, if you don’t have the patience for the OTA to arrive, then you can follow the instructions here, to unlock the bootloader on your Google Pixel or Pixel XL, here for Nexus 5X and here for Nexus 6P.

As of now, only the download links for the factory images have been added to the Android developers’ website by Google. The OTA update links are not yet available and we will update the post with the download links for the OTA update for the Nexus and Pixel devices as soon as they are available.
